Killer Chocolate Brownies

Today I decided to bake some killer chocolate brownies. I have been using this recipe for a while now and everyone who has tried the brownies think they are delicious so I thought that I'd share this recipe with you!

Makes (approximately)15 Brownies.
Cooking time 25-30 minutes, preparation time 20 minutes

Ingredients:

230g - Unsalted Butter

200g - Dark/Milk Chocolate

350g - Caster Sugar

85g - Cocoa Powder

70g - Plain Flour

4 Large Eggs

1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder

Zest of 1 Orange (optional)

Start by preheating your oven to 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4. Then cut the 250g of butter into smaller chunks and break up the chocolate into a bowl. Melt the butter and chocolate together over a pan of boiling water.

While the chocolate and butter are melting, start mixing the dry ingredients together- Flour, cocoa powder, caster sugar and baking powder. Gather your orange zest and add this into the dry mixture.

In a separate bowl, beat the 4 eggs together until smooth. Your chocolate and butter has probably melted now so take that off the heat and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Combine all the ingredients together and mix until you have a smooth mixture

While you are waiting for the chocolate to cool, line two baking tins with greaseproof paper on the bottom and spread butter around the sides of the tin

Pour your mixture evenly into each tin and put in the preheated oven for around 25-30 minutes.

When your brownies are finished in the oven, wait for the tins to cool. Take the brownies out and leave them to cool for another 15-20 minutes.

Finally cut up the brownies into different sizes and there you have your lovely, gooey chocolate brownies!
